I've never heard of Bioglan before, how do I know I can trust it?

Are the products suitable for vegetarians, pescatarians or vegans?
Unfortunately, Women’s Multi, Glucosamine 1500 and Super Fish Oil are not suitable for vegetarians, pescetarians or vegans.
Are the products suitable for coeliacs?
All of the products within the Bioglan range are Gluten free, so are suitable for coeliacs.

How long will my order take to arrive?
We aim to deliver your order within two working days. However, as all orders are posted 2nd class Royal Mail, please allow 7 - 10 days for your order to arrive.
Are they suitable for children?
Children over the age of 4 may take 1 capsule of Super Fish Oil. This may be done by piercing the capsule shell and emptying the contents into the child’s food or into yoghurt. However if the child is comfortable to swallow the capsule whole they may do so.
Glucosamine 1500, Men’s and Women’s Multi’s are not suitable for children under the age of 12.
Are they suitable during pregnancy?
We recommend you should consult your GP or midwife before taking supplements if you are pregnant, about to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
When is best time of day to take Bioglan supplements?
Super Fish Oil – Anytime of day with a glass of water after food
Glucosamine – Anytime of day with a glass of water after food
Men’s Dual Action Multivitamin – Take in the morning with a glass of water after food
Women’s Dual Action Multivitamin – Take in the morning with a glass of water after food
How should I take Bioglan supplements?

How do I store the products?
Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Protect from moisture. Ideally not in your bathroom.
How quickly do you see results?
You should start to feel the difference after 1-2 months of taking supplements on a daily basis. We recommend taking the products regularly for 1-3 months to allow the nutrients to build up in your body. The results vary amongst individuals, and we recommend you follow the directions e.g. take with food.
Do you have to take them for the rest of your life?
You can take them for as long as they benefit you. If you are lacking certain vitamins which you cannot get from your diet or your body needs more of then you should continue to take the supplements daily
All Bioglan products are safe to be taken on the long term, for as long as you wish. We recommend a minimum 3 month intake.
Can I mix them with other Brands/Vitamins?
Yes, Super Fish Oil and Glucosamine 1500 are safe to take alongside other vitamins but if you are on medication, please check with your healthcare professional before taking.
Men’s and Women’s Multi’s are not designed to be taken along side another multivitamin, however can be taken alongside Super Fish Oil/Glucosamine 1500.
What is RDA?
RDA also know as the Recommended Daily Allowance, is the daily intake level of a nutrient that is considered to be sufficient to meet the requirements of 97–98% of healthy individuals. It is also known as RDI (Recommended Daily Intake). 100% RDA is the minimum you need to take in order to not be deficient in a nutrient. You will find that Bioglan products contain ingredients in quantities greater than 100% RDA. This is because some nutrients are required in higher levels than the RDA to have a therapeutic effect on the body. All ingredients are well within the upper safe levels for supplementation.

Do vitamins really work?
Yes, there are thousands of clinical trials and studies which prove that vitamin supplementation has a benefit to the human body.
SUPER FISH OIL
Is your fish oil sustainably sourced?
Yes. Bioglan Super Fish Oil is produced under stringent manufacturing processes and the fish oil is sourced from anchovies in accordance with international regulations and procedures for maintenance of the biomass and is therefore considered eco friendly.
Why is there no fishy aftertaste with your fish oil supplement?
Bioglan Super Fish Oil is enteric coated which means it’s not broken down in the stomach but in the intestine so there’s no fishy aftertaste as can be experienced with many other fish oil supplements.
I have a shellfish allergy, can I still take Super Fish Oil?
No.
GLUCOSAMINE 1500MG SUSTAINED RELEASE
What is the difference between other Glucosamine and Sustained Release Glucosamine?
In normal immediate release Glucosamine 1500mg tablets, almost all of the Glucosamine is released in under an hour. It only takes 1 hour to remove half of the glucosamine from the body (through urine or the stool), so the amount of Glucosamine available for the joints is only 13% of the original 1500mg. That is approximately 195mg. In Bioglan Sustained Release Glucosamine, the Glucosamine continues to be released into the lower intestine for up to 12 hours. Therefore more Glucosamine is available for a longer period of time.
MEN'S AND WOMENS DUAL ACTION MULTIVITAMINS
There are lots of ingredients in the multi's which I don't recognise. For example, Siberian Ginseng. What are the benefits of these lesser known active ingredients?

I take another multivitamin, can I take Bioglan along side my multivitamin?
We would recommend that you switch your current multivitamin to Bioglan Multii’s.
If you compare your current multivitamin to a Bioglan multivitamin you will notice that Bioglan has a superior formulation.
We would not recommend taking another multivitamin alongside Bioglan Multi’s as many of the ingredients will overlap and you will unnecessarily be doubling up on certain nutrients, which is not advised.
Some of the ingredients are over 100% RDA. Are they safe?
Yes, all the ingredients are within the upper safe limits for vitamin supplements. Many of the vitamins exceed the RDA as they are required by the body in higher concentrations to be effective. For example Vitamin E.
What is bi-layer technology?
Bi Layer technology allows for 2 different formulations of multivitamin to be compressed into one convenient tablet.
